- Nefarious Souls Ranks and Regulations
-
Welcome to the Nefarious Souls ranks and regulations page!
On this page is a list of all available ranks within the guild, as well as the requirements necessary to obtain said ranks. Also, a list of some rules that MUST be followed while in our guild is available here as well. Please note that the following is just a set of guidelines for this guild to follow, and some of you may be promoted either faster or slower than recommended based upon individual performance within the guild. As far as guild activity is concerned, you are expected to be highly active on your toons. Inactivity of more than 30 days on a particular toon can and in most cases result in a reduction of rank for that toon back to the base level. Inactivity of greater than 90 days can and usually will result in removal from the guild. If you are removed from the guild due to inactivity, you can always talk to an officer to get re-invited. There are two exceptions to the inactivity removal. First if you know you will be gone longer than 90 days, please notify either Evilens or Badmonkey about it so a note can be put on your file. this will protect you from removal for 12 Months. If after 12 months you have not returned, you will be removed and can be re-invited upon your return. If by chance you are in the military, please make sure you let us know so we can add a note to your profile. You will lose rank while you are gone (which will be restored upon your return), however military personnel will not be removed from the guild due to inactivity (make sure we know about it though - it's kind of hard to protect your toon from removal if we don't know). For those out there (yes, sadly, we have had some over the years) that think this is an unfair form of preferential treatment, well, yes it is. If you really don't like this policy you have two choices. One, you can find another guild, or two, you can enlist so you can get the preferential treatment. On a side note, this expansion in keeping with the new Worgen theme, the rank names are named after the old werewolf ranks based upon Norse mythology. Those of you who read werewolf fiction are probally framiliar with the names, those who don't are not. Each expansion the names of the ranks may change to fit some part of the expansion, but the requirements do not.
And, now on to the ranks and their requirements...
Nefarious Souls Guild Ranks...
Initiate...
This is the entry level guild rank. All new recruits start here! There is a probation period of 30-90 days in this rank before you can advance. This time frame is used to see how active you will be within the guild, as well as how well you work with others. to advance from here your toon MUST be at least level 60, as well as highly active in the guild. All 'Alts' are treated as individual toons and must advance on their own merits.
Pup...
This is the first of the actual 'Member' positions within the guild. You are expected to be active and participate in guild functions, as well as have an account on our website and participate in the forums. This permission has some limited abilities to repair from the guild bank as well as get items from it. You will be in this position for at least 90 days if not longer to make sure you are an active, loyal, dedicated member of this guild. To advance past this rank you MUST have and be using a 'Blizzard Authenticator', and be registered and active on our guild forums.
Pack Member...
With this rank comes additional responsibilities and perks. This is where most of you will be until you have put some serious time and effort into this guild. From here on out you are no longer just 'expected' to participate, but rather you are REQUIRED to participate. This means being highly active in the guild and guild functions (i.e. PvP, Raiding, Professions, etc.). It also means being the max level attainable (currently 85). In the event of a new expansion you will have 120 days to attain the new max level. If you do not complete this within 120 days you will be reduced in rank until such time as you do complete the level requirement. In addition, not only must you be registered on the forums, but you must be active on them. This means you must get involved and post and participate in discussions.
Alpha Member...
This rank is for those that show a continued dedication and drive within the guild. Generally toons in this rank have been in the previous rank for 90-120 days minimum and have shown and proven their dedication, and loyalty to this guild. They usually are logged on 3-5 days a week on one particular toon and play for 2+ hours each time they are on creating high visibility for themselves as well as this guild. Anyone in this rank MUST meet ALL of the requirements of the previous ranks and continually strive to better themselves and others within the guild. This includes helping persons level, work on professions, crafting things for guildies, etc.
Sinfjold...
This is the highest, and final attainable member rank within the guild and is really an achievement to obtain. The rights and authority that come with it are really not much more than the previous rank, except that now you have a title to prove your dedication and loyalty to Nefarious Souls. To qualify for this rank and title you MUST have been in NS for at lest 24+ months. You must be highly active and have most all of your alts in our guild, and should you have alts in other guilds, none of them may hold an officer rank (I realize people have alts in other guilds, but to obtain this achievement your time and energy need to be focused with NS).
Volsung...
Welcome to the first of the officer ranks! The first rule in attaining this rank is..."Don't Ask!" If you have to ask to become an officer then you are probably not officer material. Officers need to able to follow directions and not question them. Officers need to be highly visible in the guild on their main and highest toon, which must take priority over their alts. Officers will be responsible for dealing with guild matters as the need arises as well as planning guild functions, raids, etc. Certain officers will have certain areas of the guild they will be responsible for (recruiting, events, planning, raids, pvp etc.). These assignments will be handed out on an individual basis based upon where the GM's or Asst's feel the officer is best served within the guild. Officers are not allowed to have alts in an officer position in other guilds on our server! Their loyalties, devotion, and time must lie within our guild. This does not mean you can not have alts in friends guilds, it just means they can not be an officer elsewhere as this would create a conflict of interest.
Geri...
Second level officers don't have much more responsibilities or perks (a few but not much more than first level). This rank is more of a seniority rank for officers that have been an officer for 18+ months, play 3-5 days a week on their main toon, and eventually may be considered for the next level up when a position is open and needs to be filled.
Freke...
This is the highest officer rank you can attain in this guild, and it is a very limited position. The first requirement is that you have spent at least 24+ months in this guild as an officer. The second requirement is there must be an opening. This position will never have more then 5 members (not including their alts). This position is responsible for assisting the GM's with day to day operations, being a voice for the members, voting on guild procedures, handling guild issues, and working on guild relations with other guilds. In addition this rank when 'Evilens' and 'Morigana' are gone on vacation or not available is responsible for making decisions and taking actions necessary within the guild (everything does get reviewed when 'Evilens' and 'Morigana' get back). If you are considered for this position, you CANNOT have any other toons on this server acting as an officer in another guild. Your focus, time, and loyalties MUST be here in Nefarious Souls, and only here! Additional requirements and responsibilities will be discussed with members of this rank on a one to one basis.
Bolverk/Lupa...
Good Luck! (LOL)
This position is second in charge of the guild (with the same permissions and abilities as the guildmaster) and is held by 'Morigana' (a.k.a. Badmonkey/Ensenda) who is the RL wife of 'Evilens'. This position is not available!
Ulfric...
Good Luck! (LOL) This position is held and has been held by 'Evilens' since day one of this guild and unless he quits the game or dies (IRL) this position is not available.
Nefarious Souls Guild Regulations...
The following are some basic regulations for our guild. These are expected to be followed at all times. Most of them are common sense items. But sadly over the years some have shown they have no common sense and need them spelled out in writing before they can understand and follow them...
First... If it against the rules of the almighty 'Blizzard', then it is against the rules of this guild! Spamming gold links, buying selling gold, harassment of people, etc. Anything that is against the 'Blizzard' rules for this game can and will usually result in immediate removal from this guild. Now, I am not a dummy, I know some of you out there have bought gold. Don't get caught! And by all means don't brag about it in guild or trade chat (yes we have had some that dumb).
Be courteous and show some respect to your fellow guildies in all your dealings. This does not mean you can not joke around and have fun, but pay attention to what people say and try not to offend anyone. If you accidentally do offend someone, be the grown-up and apologize. No one is perfect, we all screw up, but people need to be mature and accept responsibility for their actions and screw ups.
Stay tuned more to be added - Keep checking back!
